Beth Arnold and Cooper

“I sought Maureen’s help with my young rescue lab, Cooper, who was very reactive on leash. Joggers, strollers, skateboarders and especially other dogs were all triggers which made walking in our neighbourhood a daily challenge. During our initial in-home consultation I noticed an immediate difference in Cooper, and Maureen left me armed with the skills to redirect his behaviour in positive ways. Seeing daily progress and feeling empowered, we joined the Basic Obedience class then Advanced Boot Camp. Initially nervous about being in a group setting with other dogs, I loved these classes – they were fun, engaging and with Maureen’s help, we had no issues working in such close proximity to other dogs and their handlers. The positive reinforcement approach of the classes blossomed my relationship with Cooper and we eagerly enrolled in the Wilderness Tracking and Nose Work classes for a new challenge. These classes were by far our favourites – I’ve never seen my dog happier! Maureen always has a positive approach with the best interest of the dog at heart. The other students in the classes are friendly, engaged and supportive of one another. The classes themselves are well thought out, organized, effective and fun for both dog and handler. The co-instructors are supportive, experienced and approachable.

I highly recommend Maureen every chance I get as I owe so much to her influence and truly believe in her gift to help us understand and create better relationships with our dogs. I’m so grateful for her guidance in forming a genuine partnership with my dog that I look forward to evolving as we progress with more training – thank you Maureen!”
