What is the duration and frequency of each training session?
The duration and frequency of each class varies. Please see our class schedule for the most up-to-date information about classes.

Yes, please visit our private dog training page for more information.
How many dogs are typically in a group class?
Most classes are 3-4 dogs. Bigger classes will have multiple instructors.
Are your classes suitable for kids or teens?
For the benefit of your learning and your dog’s, we ask that you attend classes without kids under the age of 12. Some kids over 12 may be able to participate in class. We approve these situations on a case by case basis, please contact us directly and we are happy to have a conversation.
Where are classes held?
We are based in North Vancouver, though the location varies by class. Please check out our class descriptions for specific locations.
What should I bring to my first class?
Please bring a treat pouch, lots of treats (high and low value), a flat collar or harness, and a 6-foot leash. Each class will have different requirements, and you will hear from your instructor before your first class.

All of our trainers have a minimum of 7 years of experience and some up to 30 years!

Do you use any aversive methods (shock collars, choke chains, etc.)?
We do not use or allow the use of aversive tools in class.
Can you tailor the training to suit my dog's specific needs?
Yes. Each person and dog in class needs a slightly different approach or variation in the exercise or training technique. We are proud of our trainer’s ability to adopt new techniques and be flexible with their training.
Health and Safety
What health and vaccination requirements do you have for puppies attending classes?
We suggest puppies start classes around 10 weeks of age. Please refer to this article by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviour to learn more about vaccinations and early socialization:
How do you ensure the safety of all dogs during training sessions?
Our classes focus on the connection between you and your dog, so there are minimal dog-to-dog interactions. Dog stations are set up 2 meters apart, and trainers keep a close eye on the dogs. All students share their dog’s learning history and any challenges with us before booking so we can ensure all dogs are a good fit for the class.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
For cancellations 10 days or more before your first class, you will receive a full refund or credit on your account. Under 2 weeks we may be able to refund or partially refund you provided we are able to fill your spot.

We provide follow-up support with private one-on-one sessions. For scent work, we offer drop-ins, and students are encouraged to attend to maintain and advance their skills.
Do you have experience with rescue dogs or dogs with a history of trauma?
Yes! We often work with rescue dogs and their families. These dogs are directed to our trainers with expert experience, and together, they can find the right fit for group classes.
How do you accommodate dogs with special needs or disabilities?
With the range of classes we provide, there’s a good fit for everyone. We have had blind dogs, deaf dogs, elderly dogs, and those in recovery all successfully complete our classes!
Are there any age restrictions for dogs participating in your training programs?
We are firm believers that old dogs can learn new tricks! There are no age limits as long as dogs have the proper foundations to join the requested class (e.g., puppy class, etc.)
