Laurel Whatley has been working alongside Maureen Fielding since 2008 paving the way forward in Canadian Kennel Club and American Kennel Club Tracking.

Laurel worked her previous Malinois, Raven, to a Championship level with the CKC and a field tracking championship with the AKC, and her other previous Malinois, Magic, to a CKC and AKC TD and a CKC UTD.

With her added experience in scent detection, she has become our key instructor for our Scent Detection Classes. Laurel has been studying with other excellent instructors in the Lower Mainland and abroad, including Clicker Expo and the annual MET Conference, to bring the best and latest knowledge to her students. Many of her students have gone to trials with great success!

Laurel also has an avid interest in Rally Obedience and has brought the best of her student teams to virtual trials and titles! Her classes fill quickly, and she is well-loved by her students. This may be due to her many years of experience as a schoolteacher and counselor to bring with her into dog training.

Laurel is presently partnering with Sage, her Malinois, in tracking, scent detection, Wilderness Search, and  Rally Obedience.
